PRESTO PARK PARKING APP

Presto Park is the parking app for use in Rotorua. It offers many great benefits such as:

  • The ability to instigate and manage parking transactions in all paid parking zones in Rotorua
  • No need to walk to a parking meter – simply use your phone
  • Start your transaction from your car
  • If you end up later than you thought, extend your existing transaction
  • If you return earlier than expected, stop your transaction
  • Receive an optional notification prior to your parking stay ending
  • The ability to use the app for multiple vehicles
  • GPS location to help you identify which zone you are in (your device, not your car)

It is free to register and the transaction charges are no more than using a credit card at the parking meter. The fee for the app is 10% of the transaction value with a maximum fee of $0.50 cents so in many cases, it is cheaper to use the app.

In March 2020, Rotorua Lakes Council and i-Park upgraded the Pukuatua Street Carpark Building’s management system and equipment. This has included new long to medium term parking options, number plate recognition systems, automatic entry and exit barrier arms, new payment machines and a new ticket-less system for users.

The purpose of the upgrade is to provide a more efficient and cost-effective parking solution for CBD workers and visitors.

Pukuatua Street Carpark Building, 1238 Pukuatua St
Rotorua

The parking building now offers time-based or concession-based parking permit options.
Learn more about these here.

If you’d like to apply for one of these permits, please fill in the form below.

Please take note of the reference number below before submitting the form.

Once you have completed the above form an email will be sent to you for confirmation. I-Park will contact you within the next two business days and take credit card payment via phone. As soon as payment is completed, your permit will be live in the system.
Please note that only permit holders can use the areas marked “Permit parking only” in the parking building. The lower, undercover levels of the carpark are designated for regular users that use these permit options. If you have a permit, you can use any of these spaces. The carpark will be patrolled by the parking wardens and this will be policed.
